There are a lot of different tours you can do around Poseidon, here I will give you some examples.
Elephant Trek: A half-day tour, riding through the forest on an elephant back! You will reach a waterfall in Khao Lak national park so bring a swimsuit. Enjoyable for all ages! Less than 1000 baht!
Phangnga Bay: This is the remains of a 300 million years old coral reef that ones stretched from South China to Thailand. Gigantic limestone cliffs, some 300 meters high go straight up from the sea. As a James Bond film was shot here most tours end up at the crowded “James Bond Island”, but we have also opportunities to bring you to more remote areas.
Khao Sok: This is the best national park (Rainforest) in the south of Thailand and the only viable tiger habitat. There are still tigers, leopards, wild elephants, tapir, Asiatic bear, Malay sun bear, hornbills and gibbons among other things; this is a remnant of one of the oldest rain forests in the world and one of the richest in diversity. Another thing you can see here is the Rafflesia flower, the world’s biggest flower.
It is possible to do both short trips and longer treks in Khao Sok, highly recommended is the trip to the huge lake in the middle of the park where you can stay over night at raft houses provided by the National Park and wake up to the calls of gibbons.
Khao Lak national park is just three kilometres from Poseidon. There are some walks you can do yourself, for others you need a guide, there are organized tours to the untouched parts of the forest.
Phuket Shopping Expedition: Maybe for a day trip? This one you can do by yourself or take a tour, shopping in Phuket Town is only 90 minutes away…
We will provide you with lots of (self-experienced) details here at Poseidon and will help you to make reservations for all kinds of tours, expeditions and transportation to other places in South Thailand.
